Where the Olympic Flame Meets the Tour de France Spirit

More than two millennia ago, Olympia was the cradle of the Olympic Games — where athletes competed for glory, not gold. On Saturday, April 12, 2025, that legacy came alive in a new way, as 1.000 cyclists gathered under clear blue skies for the third edition of L'Étape Greece by Tour de France presented by Skoda. This wasn’t just a race — it was a journey through history, framed by ancient olive groves, sweeping valleys, and the unmistakable energy of the Tour de France.

A format for everyone

Riders chose from three routes, each offering a unique way to experience the Peloponnesian landscape and the thrill of Tour de France-style racing:

  • The Race (152 km) – A demanding two-loop course designed for experienced cyclists chasing challenge and endurance.

  • The Ride (88 km) – A one-loop version of the same course, delivering intensity and inspiration in equal measure.

  • The Fun Ride (17 km) – A light and festive format, perfect for families, newcomers, and anyone ready to ride in the moment.

The route climbed through groves of centuries-old olive trees and opened into panoramic views of the Greek countryside — a landscape as rich in history as it is in beauty.
